2011 International choral song competition

The international choral music competition (adults) comprises 4 categories. Choirs entering the competition should take part in two categories of their choosing:

CATEGORY I: MIXED CHOIRS
CATEGORY II: MIXED VOCAL ENSEMBLES
CATEGORY III: EQUAL VOICES (Male or Female)
CATEGORY IV: FREE EXPRESSION (all ensembles)

Singers must be members of the ensemble for which they are entered.
The competition is open to singers over 15 years.

In all categories, the works should be sung by the number of singer allowed in Categories I, II and III.

Category IV "FREE EXPRESSION" is open to all choirs taking part in Categories I "MIXED CHOIRS", II "MIXED VOCAL ENSEMBLES" or III "EQUAL VOICES". Choirs may choose their own programme. This allows choirs to express themselves in their familiar repertory. Only singers taking part in one of the Categories I – III may take part in the same grouping in Category IV " FREE EXPRESSION".

Choirs will be eliminated if they:

do not arrive at the time indicated;
include singers not included on the lists submitted to the Florilège Vocal de Tours;
do not take part in the main events ( competition, final public concert, prize-giving) unless with special agreement from the Jury;
accept to take part in a concert during the preceding month in the Department of Indre-et-Loire, without written permission from the Board of the Florilège Vocal de Tours;
do not accept the rules relating to the various rounds of the competition.

The choir managers should know that photographs will be taken, and audio or / and video recordings made during the whole competition. We notify them however that their utilization will not give rise to any compensation.
These records, a whole or in extracts, in any forms or means known
or unknown to this day, with no time limit, can be used solely in the context of the advertising and promoting of the Florilège Vocal de Tours.

Entering the competition implies acceptance of the above rules without reservation. In the event of a dispute, the French text will apply.
