At the end of the finals, the following prizes will be awarded insofar the number of points obtained exceeds the minimum set by the jury:

No more than four prizes will be awarded in each category.
A certificate of participation will be given to each choir.
Three prizes will be awarded:
the “Prix François Rabelais” (€750) to the choir whose programme has been the most satisfying overall. This prize is offered by the Université François Rabelais of Tours;
the “Prix Ronsard” (€500) for the best performance of a setting of a poem by Ronsard. This prize is offered by the Conseil général of Indre-et-Loire;
the “Prix Ockeghem” (€500) for the best performance of a religious or secular work amongst those proposed on the Florilège Vocal website.
PRIZE À CŒUR JOIE INTERNATIONAL
This special prize, worth €500, is offered by À Coeur Joie International – an international choral body. It is awarded to a non-French choir for the quality of its musical performance and of its pronunciation of a work written in French (any composer), during the qualifying and final rounds and covering all categories and the Renaissance programme.
PUBLIC PRIZE
During the final rounds on the afternoon of Saturday 28 May a special prize, worth €500, will be awarded to a choir by public vote.
PRIZE FOR A NEW WORK
This prize, worth €1.400, will be awarded for the best new choral work during the Florilège, and will be split between the composer (€700) and the choir singing the work (€700).
During the competition, the work (lasting between 2’30 and 4’30) should be sung during the qualifying rounds or the finals.
GRAND PRIX OF VILLE DE TOURS
This will be awarded to the choir whose performance throughout the competition is judged the most satisfactory.
This choir will qualify for the Choral Grand Prix of Europe (“Grand Prix Européen de Chant Choral”) in Maribor (Slovenia) in 2012, and will be expected to take part.
The choir which wins the Grand Prix of Ville de Tours will receive €2 500. This will be paid in two instalments: €1 250 at the end of the Florilège 2011, and €1 250 after the choir has taken part in the Choral Grand Prix of Europe in 2012.
The following phrase should figure on all documentation during one year:
Florilège Vocal de Tours 2011”
A winning choir cannot qualify again in Tours during the following 2 years.
This prize, worth €1.000, will be offered by The Friends of Arthur Oldham. The Jury will award this prize to a conductor for the quality of his or her conducting during the competition.
MINISTRY OF CULTURE PRIZE
This prize, worth €1 600, will be awarded by the Jury to the choir which has given the best performance of a post-1950 French choral work during the qualifying rounds or the finals.
